Uniforms

Uniform Information:

  • Ballet and Jazz uniforms are available exclusively at Prisma Dance Kalihi Studio!

  • Free Trial Students: Please DO NOT purchase a uniform until you receive an enrollment confirmation email to ensure you purchase the correct uniform.

  • At Prisma we enforce dress codes for safety, level definition, and to help teach our students responsibility.

  • For dancers who dance two or more times a week, we recommend having at least two leotards and two pairs of tights/bike shorts.

  • Cover-up clothing should be worn over dance uniform to and from studio.

  • Dance shoes should not be worn outside of the studio. Dancers should wear regular street slippers/shoes to and from the studio.

  • All jewelry must be removed before class. Post earrings are okay.

  • Uniform Care:

    • Leotards and Tights - Wash in laundry bag to prevent snagging and hang dry.

    • Canvas Ballet Shoes - Wash sparingly and hang dry.

  • Uniform (supplied by Prisma Dance)

    • Level-specific Ballet leotard

    • Pink Ballet convertable tights

    • Ballet shoes - Prisma requires a specific brand/style of ballet shoe for Ruby through Sapphire levels. Please purchase your ballet shoe directly from Prisma Dance.

    • Canvas Ballet Shoe Care - Wash sparingly and hang dry.

    • Leotards and Tights Care - Wash in laundry bag to prevent snagging and hang dry.

    Hair: Ruby & Sunstone - neat Ponytail or Ballet Bun. Topaz, Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst - neat Ballet Bun

    Recommended: Please have dancer bring a labeled water botttle to class

    Ballet Shoe Care: Canvas ballet shoes may be hand washed or machine washed. Hang dry only.

    Note: Amethyst & Diamond levels will receive uniform packet with specific instructions on uniform and equirement needs.

  • Uniform (supplied by Prisma Dance)

    • Prisma Black leotard

    • Prisma supplied Mid thigh black shorts

    • Optional - tan tights

    • Leotards and Tights Care - Wash in laundry bag to prevent snagging and hang dry.

    Footwear: Tan Jazz Shoes (Laceless). May be purchased from Step N Up Hawaii or online

    Hair: neat Ponytail or braid

    Recommended: Please have dancer bring a labeled water botttle to class

    Note: Amethyst & Diamond levels will receive uniform packet with specific instructions on uniform and equirement needs.

  • Partner Acro & Acro Dance

    Attire:

    • Leotard or biketard - any brand/color, conservative styles

    • Prisma supplied Mid thigh black shorts

    Footwear: barefeet

    Hair: neat Ponytail or braid

    Recommended: Please have acrobats bring a labeled water botttle to class

  • Note: Please remove anything on your wrists and empty your pockets. Hair should always be out of your face.

    Acro:

    • T-shirt with no images or words (More form fitting but able to move.).

    • Athletic shorts (To Knees)

    • Footwear: barefeet

    Ballet/Partnering:

    • Solid white or black shirt (Athletic or T-shirt – Loose fitting preferred)

    • Solid Black pants or shorts

    • Black ballet shoes.

    • Optional: white socks
