How do I know what class to register my child for?
Prisma Dance instructors will place each student in an appropriate level for maximum development. Initial level placements are generally based on age and student ability. Students at Prisma Dance will be placed with care and consideration so they will flourish and continue growth at all levels of training.
How do I sign my child up for classes?

When do sessions begin and end?
Prisma Dance is a year-round program. Classes continue throughout the calendar year with holiday and breaks listed under Calendar (click here).
What styles of dance do you offer?
We offer classes in Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Conditioning.
What is the youngest age a child can start?
Ballet – ages 3
Jazz – age 5
hip Hop – age 5
Acrobatics – age 5
- A child who is fully potty trained and is at least three (3) years old before their trial class can be enrolled into Prisma Dance classes.
Do you offer scholarships/financial aide?
Yes, we do offer scholarships based on financial need for Spectrum Track students only. Please email us at email@example.com for more info.
How many classes will my child be required to take each week?
The number of classes is based upon level placement. It ranges from 1x/week to 4x/week. See Class Descriptions for specific information.
Is there a deadline for enrollment or is it ongoing?
Prisma Dance has open enrollment from June 1st through January 20th. Jan 21 – May 31st has limited open enrollment due to Prisma Dance Annual Spring Performance.
Do you have performance opportunities?
Yes, we have three main types of performance opportunities: Visit Choices & Opportunities
1.Prisma Dance Annual Spring Performance (every year in May)
2. Local Outreach performances in our community (Hospitals, Care Homes, Homeless Shelters, etc)
3. Prisma Dance productions such as Creation (coming fall 2018)
When are auditions for Creation and what are the requirements?
Auditions will be held Summer of 2018. More Info to come!
What age do you start Pointe classes?
In general, pre-pointe work is introduced to students in Emerald I and pointe work is introduced in Emerald II. However, readiness to begin pointe work is determined after assessment is made by the ballet instructor(s) and is based on each student’s technical and physical development.
